Important Info
DAY OF ARRIVAL
Proceed to the Welcome Centre at Simbithi MAIN gate for fingerprint & biometric registration prior to going to the house.Â
Only the drivers listed on the Short-Term Access Form will need to go inside reception for a brief orientation and fingerprint & biometric registration access.Please bring your original ID for this process. Â
If you would like to add any additional drivers over and beyond what was originally listed on the Short-Term Access Form. The first two guests to be fingerprinted are paid for by the homeowner. Â
If you have stayed in the estate before then your fingerprint will be re-activated.​Â

Public Holidays & Sundays are CLOSEDÂ
Should you arrive after reception has closed, then please let us know and we can send you a temporary access code which will allow one entry and one exit before midnight. You can then go to the Welcome centre the next morning to get your registration done.Â

Please WhatsApp your LCE Rep to request a visitor’s access code. You will be allowed a max of 4 codes per day. Each code will allow 1 entry & 1 exit before midnight.
BEACH ACCESS
The estate offers guests a beach gate at the end of Trimeria Walk on The Eco side of the estate.
This is a pedestrian-only gate and access is via your fingerprint only. Please park and walk.
Thompsons Bay is around a 200-meter walk.

Please Note: there will be scheduled visits from contracted pool service and gardeners. These visits are essential to ensure that the amenities and outdoor spaces are in top condition for your enjoyment. The pool service and gardeners will have limited access to the yard area during specific times.

BACK-UP POWER
In the event of loadshedding or grid power failure the inverter system will automatically switch on. This means that all lights, plug sockets, TV's, WiFi routers will be powered.
Please note that all non essential items such as air-con units, fridges, freezers, bar fridges, washing machines, tumble driers, dishwashers, ovens, electric hobs, microwaves will not work.
The battery back up system lasts on average of 2 to 3 hours. Please note that the more lights and plug sockets that you use during this time will result in this average time frame being reduced. Please use reduce consumption during battery operation times to maximise battery capacity.

House Rules
Understanding and complying with our house rules will make for a comfortable and fun stay for everybody. Please treat our home with the same respect as you would your own home. We’ve put a lot of effort into making this a lovely space to be enjoyed by our guests.

BE RESPECTFUL
The staff are key to a successful holiday and the efficient running of your holiday home, please treat them with the utmost respect at all times. We will not tolerate our staff being treated badly.​
Regretfully our staff are unable to babysit, wash cars, do shopping/unpack shopping or anything besides their designated duties.

OCCUPANCY
The maximum number of persons occupying the unit at all times must not exceed the number of beds. A maximum of two guests per bedroom will be allowed unless the homeowner has provided extra beds.
Camping on the property are NOT permitted.

DONT FEED THE MONKEYS
Under any circumstances whatsoever do not feed the monkeys - mother or babies!Â
Please be aware of the monkeys they are inquisitive and can get very aggresive.
Don’t leave fruit out within sight of the monkeys – they will come in, make a mess, panic and break things.Â
Close all windows and doors when leaving the house.

NO SMOKING
No smoking is allowed in the house. Please smoke outside away from windows or furniture.

NO PARTIES
No parties, overcrowding or excessive noise is permitted. Failure to adhere to this will result in immediate eviction with no refund of rent.
Guests will be liable for all damages accured by parties at our rental home.

BEACH TOWELS
Please do not use bathroom towels on the beach, beach towels are available.
​
​
NO BEACH SAND IN THE POOL
Wash the sand off before entering the house or pool after the beach visit.Â
Please do not wash your beach sand off in the pool.

​
LEAVE AS FOUND
Accidents happen, so please report any breakages or damage to our team. If anything is broken, this should be replaced ‘like for like’ by the Guest to ensure a full refund of the breakage deposit.

BE ENVIRONMENTALLY CONCIOUS
Use linen and towels sparingly.Â
Please save water, and electricity and turn off fans and Aircon when not using the area. Â
Please try and recycle where possible, let's look after our planet together.
Please do not flush any foreign matters down the toilet.
Before you Go...
DEPARTURE DAY
Check-out is at or before 10 am.Â
Please communicate your check out time with our team or the house staff the day prior to departure.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS
As you prepare to depart, we kindly remind you to double-check your belongings to ensure you haven't left anything behind. Should you find that you've inadvertently left a personal item behind, please don't worry. You can easily arrange for a courier to collect it at your convenience. However, any unclaimed items remaining a the house after checkout will be collected and donated to our staff. This ensures that these items find a new purpose and are put to good use.
KEYS
Please make sure you leave any keys & remotes with the staff,
or communicate with us where you left the keys.
LEAVING EARLY?
Please switch off all lights, and air-conditioning, and close all windows.Â
STAFF OVERTIME PAYMENT
Please remember to settle any money owing to the staff (overtime, additional laundry, tips etc.)
must be paid directly to each staff member in (ZAR) cash.
Should you fail to pay in full, this will be deducted from your holding/breakage deposit.

Please remember to complete the departure form.Â
