At Luxury Coastal Escapes, we understand that maintaining a luxury holiday home to a 5-star standard can be demanding, especially during busy periods. Our Housekeeping Support Service provides reliable, professional assistance for same-day changeovers, guest stay servicing, owner visits, private bookings, deep cleans, spring cleans, and peak occupancy periods.
Our fully vetted and LCE-trained housekeepers can be booked either as your primary housekeeper or to work alongside your existing household team. Trained to hotel-grade standards, they ensure your property remains immaculate, guest-ready, and maintained to the luxury standards Luxury Coastal Escapes is known for, giving you peace of mind during even the busiest times.
How it Works
When additional housekeeping support is required, Luxury Coastal Escapes will provide trained staff to assist with same-day changeovers, guest stays, owner visits, deep cleans, and busy occupancy periods. Our flexible support service ensures your property remains professionally maintained and guest-ready at all times.
1. The Trusted Keepers Service Model
Flexible Staffing Options: Our Trusted Keepers can be appointed as your property's primary housekeeper or work alongside your existing household staff as an assistant housekeeper.
Same-Day Turnaround Support: We provide additional housekeeping assistance for same-day guest changeovers, helping your team prepare the property efficiently and maintain luxury standards.
Scalable to Your Property: The number of keepers required will depend on the size of the home, occupancy levels, and turnaround requirements. Larger homes or high-occupancy periods may require multiple keepers to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Guest & Property Care: Our keepers assist with daily housekeeping, guest stay servicing, deep cleaning, and reporting maintenance concerns to help keep your property in excellent condition.
Fully Managed by LCE: Luxury Coastal Escapes handles recruitment, vetting, training, contracts, scheduling, and payroll, providing a hassle-free staffing solution for homeowners.
2. Pricing Structure
2.1. Our Trusted Keepers are charged at a daily rate based on the level of support required. The housekeeper receives the full rate before VAT is applied.
2.2 Luxury Coastal Escapes charges a nominal R25 administration fee per booking to cover the coordination and management of the service, including keeper scheduling, booking arrangements, travel coordination, and payment processing.
2.3. VAT will be added where applicable. The number of keepers required will depend on the size of the property, occupancy levels, and the scope of work required.
2.4. Our rates are subject to annual increase.
3. Payment & Accounting Terms
To ensure LCE is always paid, we use a "Hybrid Billing" approach:

Rental Deduction: If the house has guests, the daily rate is deducted from the rental income before the owner is paid out.

Owner Account: If the house is empty, LCE keeps a "Running Account." At the end of the month, LCE invoices the owner.

The "Float": Require owners to keep a small deposit (e.g., 7 days of keeper fees) in an account to cover the transition between guest stays.
4. Essential Protective Terms & Conditions
4.1. The LCE Performance Guarantee
LCE assumes full responsibility for the conduct of the Trusted Keeper. In the event of documented misconduct, LCE will replace the staff member within 24 hours at no additional cost to the owner.
4.2. Vicarious Liability & Insurance
LCE maintains Public Liability insurance. However, the Homeowner must maintain standard Household Insurance. LCE is responsible for staff-related theft (subject to a police report), but not for accidental breakages occurring during standard duties unless gross negligence is proven.
4.3.. The "Non-Poaching" Clause
The Owner agrees not to hire any LCE Trusted Keeper privately for a period of 24 months following the termination of this agreement. Should the Owner breach this, a 'Placement Fee' of R30,000 will be immediately due to LCE.
4.4. 365-Day Seamless Handover
LCE guarantees that no property shall be left unattended during staff rotation. The outgoing and incoming keepers will have a mandatory 2-hour 'handover' period, the cost of which is absorbed by LCE's management fee.
4.5. Right of Entry
LCE Staff and managers and representatives reserve the right to visit the property for unannounced 'Spot Checks' and training audits to ensure the LCE Standards are being maintained.
5. Shift Transitions
For homes requiring daily commuters, the transition between 'Daily' and 'Live-in' (Keepers) status must be confirmed 48 hours in advance to allow LCE to adjust staff transport schedules.
The Services
Live-in Rotation: LCE manages two or more vetted and trained keepers who work on a rotating schedule, ensuring the property is always cared for and never left unattended.
Dual Function – Guest Mode: During guest stays, keepers provide daily housekeeping, room servicing, hospitality support, and guest assistance while maintaining luxury presentation standards.
Dual Function – Keeper Mode: When the home is vacant, keepers focus on detailed cleaning, property inspections, maintenance reporting, stock checks, and keeping the property guest-ready.
Linen and Towel Assessment: Regular inspections of linen, towels, and soft furnishings help identify items that require replacement or attention to maintain a high standard.
Professional Guest Greeting Protocols: Keepers are trained to professionally welcome guests, provide a property orientation, and ensure a smooth arrival experience.
Monthly and Annual Deep Cleaning: Scheduled deep cleans throughout the year help maintain the property's condition and presentation beyond routine housekeeping.
Weekly "Keepers" Maintenance Checklist: Weekly inspections include checking for leaks, flushing toilets in unused rooms, testing lights and appliances, and monitoring perimeter security.
Professional Equipment: Owners provide cleaning products and major equipment such as vacuum cleaners, while LCE provides ongoing training and quality control standards.
Zero-Admin Management: LCE handles recruitment, contracts, scheduling, payroll, and staff management, providing a completely hassle-free service for owners.
