This incredible six bedroom family holiday house offers space, privacy and incredible views across the lagoon and onto the ocean. The house sits on the lagoon in Zinkwazi with perfectly manicured lawns, a pool area and a private lagoon frontage with boat mooring. The house sits over 3 levels with 4 bedrooms on the top floor, entertaining space spanning the middle level and a self-contained flatlet being on the ground and pool level.

50 minutes from the King Shaka International Airport.

Restaurants and convenience grocery stores are located about 35km outside Zinkwazi.

Zinkwazi Beach is in the small town of Zinkwazi on the Dolphin Coast is surrounded by coastal dunes. The small, protected beach is one of the many beaches on this stretch of coastline that form part of a nature conservancy.

Explore the plethora of rock and tidal pools that are home to a wide variety of sea life.

The swimming beach is protected by shark nets as well as life guards (in the holiday season) so you can swim knowing you are safe. The lagoon is a great swim spot for kids.

A separate flatlet can sleep up to 8 people (2 adults & 6 children)

The flatlet has its own kitchen with a toaster, kettle, electric oven and hob, and fridge/freezer. There is a dining table in the kitchen with seating for 8 and a living area with a TV (with DSTV decoder), WIFI booster and ceiling fan. The flatlet has a little outside verandah with a plastic table and chairs for 4.


THE DRIVEWAY

Please note that while some guests may find our driveway to be steep, others may not perceive it in the same way. Factors such as individual driving experience, vehicle type, and personal comfort levels can greatly influence one's perception of steepness.


BACK-UP POWER

This house does get effected by the loadshedding schedule.

In the event of loadshedding rechargeable lamps are available in the bedrooms and a gas hob for cooking and borehole water and Jojo water tanks.

The house now benefits from a battery and inverter system which kicks in automatically in the event of a power failure or load shedding. This system will run the entire house, except air conditioning units for up to 3 hours. If no power returns to the house and the batteries are running low, there is a generator that can then be used. Please note that the generator is to only be used at night where necessary. 

There is a gas hob in the kitchen with gas kettle to allow guests to cook and boil water as well as a gas/charcoal braai outside to allow for cooking.

Non essential items such as air-con units, fridges, freezers, bar fridges, washing machines, tumble driers, dishwashers, ovens, microwaves will not be connected

Bedroom One (top floor): The master bedroom with a four-poster king-size bed, sea & lagoon views, ducted air-con, ceiling fan and access onto top verandah with soft seating and sun-loungers. There is a walk-in wardrobe and large en-suite with a corner bath, separate loo, double basin and inside and outside shower

Bedroom Two (top floor): Kids room with two 3/quarter beds, sea & lagoon views, ducted air-con, ceiling fan and access onto the top verandah. There are built-in wardrobes and shared use of the family bathroom over the hallway with a separate loo, separate shower and separate bath & basin.

Bedroom Three (top floor): Kids room with double bed, sea & lagoon views, ducted air-con, ceiling fan and access onto the top verandah. There are built-in wardrobes and shared use of the family bathroom over the hallway with a separate loo, separate shower and separate bath & double basin.

Bedroom Four (top floor): Adult’s room with four-poster king-size bed, ducted air-con, ceiling fan, built-in wardrobes and access onto the top verandah. There is an en-suite with shower, sea & lagoon views and stacking doors onto the deck

 

Bedroom Five (self-contained flatlet - ground level):  The kid's bunk room has 3 double bunk beds, air-con, ceiling fan, built-in wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom with shower, separate loo and basin. The bedroom has a ping pong table area for kids

Bedroom Six (self-contained flatlet - ground level): Queen bed, air-con, ceiling fan, lagoon views, built-in wardrobes and en-suite with bath, shower, separate loo and basin.

 

HOUSEKEEPING

Rental includes two live-in staff, one housekeeper and a house manager from Monday to Friday, from 8 am until 2 pm

LCE SEASONS

Peak Season: from December & January. General High season period. Minimum of 10 - 14 nights' stay

Mid Season: A combination of Provincial Private and Public School Holidays and Long Weekends. Minimum of 3 - 5 nights' stay

Low Season: All dates outside Peak & Mid Season periods. Minimum of 2 nights' stay


RESERVATIONS

This house offers limited availability throughout the year.

Luxury Coastal Escapes accept reservations on an owner request procedure, then on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Please note that we do not accept all adult bookings, and have a preference to family bookings.

We do not accept student bookings & no parties are allowed at the holiday rental.
