Dunkirk Estate

Coastal grasslands and indigenous forests at Salt Rock

The estate was thoughtfully developed over 18 months, transforming former sugar cane fields into a lush coastal sanctuary. Two dams were created, and extensive indigenous planting has shaped the beautiful natural surroundings. Set across 52 acres, with only 46% allocated for development, the estate prioritises conservation, featuring a tranquil forest boardwalk and rare plant life, including the forest orchid.

Residents can enjoy catch-and-release fishing in the dams, while the estate is home to abundant wildlife, including bushbuck, grey duiker, and over 150 bird species.

According to legend, the estate was built on a farm named after the Battle of Dunkirk in 1914 and offers the ultimate lifestyle option for residents and visitors whilst retaining a responsible environmental footprint.
